I think this is golden rod also and isn't it pretty when it's dead??? LOL I have taken photos of it also but they don't come out as nice as this!! The ends of them sort of look like tiny pine trees!!! This has a wonderful bokeh background and gives the photo a wintery look to it!! FAV!
