I've always wanted to get a shot of clothes hanging on clothes lines so I was so happy to get this picture. This was also taken in the Amish area we drove through. Some of the houses in the area were definitely Amish and some were not.
I too find clothes hanging on the line very interesting to photograph, though not always easy.

@pyrrhula Thank you Pyrrhula and that is so interesting about your wife hanging out laundry. In our area, some of the townships have ordinances against hanging out wash and it is not allowed. Even where it is allowed, it's rare to see wash hanging on a clothesline outside.
@mittens If it is n`t allowed to dry in the open air do they pay the bill for the dryer? (We even do n`t have an electric dryer`. When it`s raining it`s drying on the attic. )
@pyrrhula LOL Pyrrhula. That would be great if the townships would pay for the bill for using the dryer but unfortunately, they definitely do not do that.
You captured this very well. A nice photo, Marilyn. I drip dry a lot of our clothes but not outside. Wish I had a photo of how my Mom dried our clothes back in the day on the outside line that she pulled on from our back porch.
Just my opinion, but I think it's nuts that there are ordinances preventing hanging wash out. All for appearance sake?? Oh well, I better just go on and not say more!! Super shot, Marilyn!
