Sad day for vintage building by mittens

Sad day for vintage building

Here is another picture of the building being torn down. I had hoped they would be able to use it for something. I guess not. The vintage door is up around the corner of the building.
That is sad

You will have to post what happens to this land in the future

@claireuk Claire, this building is next to a community center. I hear they are probably going to put a swimming pool of some kind in there. I should put that up in my description. I'll do that in my main album.

Always sad to lose a vintage building. Good that you are preserving it in pictures.

I love old buildings and the shot you took in May 2011 shows the real beauty of this place. Sad day indeed :(

look at the chimneys.....and that brick. It doesn't seem to be in such bad shape. Why are they tearing it down/ Good shot.

@jpvona Thank you Jill. From what I hear, they tried to find a use for it but have finally decided it will come down and a pool will be built since that is what residents in the area want.

@potsbypam From what I hear, Pam, they are tearing the building down to make room for a swimming pool. At first they were trying to find a use for the building but I guess nothing came together. It is sad to lose it.

I always love to see an old building reused for something else. Shame that wasn't the case for this one. Nice capture.
