Closed due to snow making

Taken at Seven Springs Ski Resort. Only some sections were closed. Other slopes were open. I don't ski, though. We just went for a look around.

@xof I guess some of the snow is fake. LOL Some of it is real, too. They get a lot of snow there.

Should be fun to be there with fresh snow. But it does look forbidding in your two images today.

Great capture. I love the wispy trees on the left shadowed out by the blowing snow. It's a nice effect. Everything is placed so well in this image - the horizontal lines at the top, the vertical pole and the signs in the center. Sure looks cold!

@alophoto Enjoy your ski trip, Amanda. You are brave. @sarah19 I understand how you feel. I never had a desire to ski since I broke my leg from tobogganing in high school. Also now, I'm not physically able to go skiing.

I wonder how they make snow. Surely it's not all artificial is it?

@skstein I'm not sure how they make the snow, Sandy, but it is real snow and not artificial.. I guess they freeze water somehow and shoot it out of the machine as snow crystals.

@xof I guess I should have replied that the "fake" snow that is shot out of the machines is made from frozen water so is actually fake real snow.
