On the way home from Austria, the “Churfirsten Range” was beautifully illuminated. The Churfirsten approx. 2300 meter above sea level, are a mountain range in the Canton of St. Gallen. They consist of a sharply defined limestone ridge running east to west, with the individual peaks formed by erosion, and an almost vertical drop of several hundred meters towards the Lake Walen. In this picture you can see just some peaks of the 13 summits chain.
