2015-03-08 Sass Pordoi

Some of you will be wondering why Swiss people go skiing in Italy. This mountain here is one of many reasons. The Pardoi summit (2950 m above sea level) is a plateau-shaped rock summit in the Sella Massif in the Dolomites. He can be reached by cable car from the Pordoi Pass. For us not only a great look-ot point, but the starting point for a challenging, some 45 ° steep, downhill freerid. I'm a good skier, but to be honest, for me this ride is so challenging I venture it only very good weather and non-hazardous conditions (avalanches are a big risk). And this only once. The ride runs through this ravines.
Spectacular shot.

Gorgeous capture of that brilliant white snow, deep blue sky, and rugged rocks. I like the cable lines converging, and their shadow on the snow. Fav for me. You are courageous to do this run!
