Today was just the right weather for a snail race.
The Cepaea are air-breathing land snails and the shells of this species are often brightly coloured and patterned with brown stripes. They live in meadows, in forests, and gardens. The activity period ranges in Central Europe from March to October. They then go into a kind of hibernation that lasts about five months.
Very cool! I so much the wet rainy colors that get very deep and saturated. your snail reminded me of the one I took a picture of not so long ago - they are just so cute, and I had a great time focusing on it - a very "compliant" subject. This DOF makes the front one stand out a lot, beautiful!
Lovely capture Mona. I think I identify with the second snail. Taking my time and doing my own thing, without worrying about any other snails in front of me. :)
