These are tiny pebbles from the black beach of Kaikoura NZ, which is sprinkled with the typical snow-white stones. A nice souvenir and symbol that today 16 years ago I married the love of my life on the Kaikoura Peninsula, New Zealand, by civil law. Observed by southern fur seals and near the sperm whales, we are so fond of and in the most beautiful setting between the stormy sea and the Seaward Kaikoura mountains.
And no, this was no spontanous act, the planning and keeping it secret, has taken more than a year to complet. It was just our moment, on the other side of the world (Swiss point of view).
The church wedding took place eight months later in Switzerland, with all our relatives and friends.
This is such a romantic story! We too had two weddings - one for us one and one "for intercontinental friends and family" almost a year later, and it's the first small one that is the "real" one for me. Happy anniversary!
Sending you Happy Anniversary wishes all the way to Switzerland from Canada. It is such a wonderfully romantic story and well represented here with your blended images. Say Hi to M for us. :)
