2015-10-16 wow, that hurts!

I was in the wonderful „Art of the Bricks“-exhibition in Zuerich today. Amazing LEGO Sculptures and LEGO Art created by American artist Nathan Sawaya.

Yellow!
The sculpture is the torso of a human figure tearing its chest open as thousands of toy bricks spill out from it. This sculpture is about Nathan Sawayas personal metamorphosis and transitions, capturing his emotional journey.

I love his quote: Art makes better humans, art is necessary in understanding the world, and art makes people happy. Undeniable, art is not optional.

Please see his history and work on his website, if you are interested: http://www.brickartist.com/

And here's a little LEGO-anecdote from my life. When my nephew D. (that one that turned 20 last week), was about four years old, he had some serious questions about life, parenting and children. His explanation why we (me and hubby M.) have no kids: that anyway we would not be good parents, as we have not enough Lego bricks.

Have a nice weekend everybody.
best lego Ive ever seen

Oh Mona that's wonderful!!! I went to see the Art of the Brick when it came to my city earlier this year and we were blown away. It's really amazing what this guy can do! Also I love your anecdote :)

Looks like an amazing sculpture and the lighting was great for your shot. I like reading your story about D, as kids have basic needs and lego is one of them. LOL
