Today, one of the neighbor's cats apparently sneaked through the cat door, through my study and the living room in our kitchen and served herself at Samira's bowl. Our 18 year old, deaf Samira, (which has no scruples to feed herself on the bowls of the homeless cats in our neighborhood) did mind. And so she attacked the other cat, and they had a quick row, before the other one run off. They lost 4 claws sheaths, some tufts of fur and Samira has a scratch over the nose. But I think none of the cats is seriously injured.
I'm glad the spat was no worse, and I love the light, pov and textures in this--fav for me. I'm also glad to know that people put out food for the homeless cats in the area--a sign of a compassionate community.
What a great picture of the battleground!! And, so proud of Samira for defending her turf!! There's a male neighborhood cat that roams the yards and riles up our little girl, Karma....sometimes when we leave the backdoor open he will come in and help himself to her food bowl, but she is too much of a coward to pick a fight with him....she cowers and whines!!
