2015-11-08 colour swirl

Swirling leaves (mostly beech) in a small creek next to where we live.

Interesting for me: In German the Common or European Beech (Fagus sylvatica ) is called Red Beech. But not for the copper tone, the leaves have in autumn, but for the reddish tone of the wood.
