@juleshoogstraanderson Thanks Jules! You have to shoot like "Lucky Luke", who shoots faster than his shadow. No sorry, joking aside. There is a lot of photoshop involved. Multiple layers, cloning, mirroring, cleaning, etc. and in the end relocating the different levers. For high contrast, etc. A lot of back and forth and try and error, until I just had to accept what I got.
@mona65 thanx for explains and it looks like I have lots to learn with my layering in photoshop. It has always intimidated me, so I've avoided it. However it goes to show that once you grasp the understanding and concept, I too might be able to take/make extraordinary photos.
@jetr Hi Joan. Thanks for your interested. I envisioned something like that, but needed various attempts to get this result. I tried double exposure, or putting together two images with layers in PS, but this did not work. Or it did not work as I wanted it. So the change of the shades has been realized 100% in PS. Multiple layers, cloning, mirroring, cleaning, etc. and in the end relocating the different levers, for high contrast, etc. A lot of back and forth and try and error, until I just had to accept what I got.
@kerosene I was not sure if Lucky Luke is know overseas, since it originates in Belgium. However, my favorites are Tintin and Asterix. ;-)
It seems we both have a childlike soul, having connections to such kind of literature.
@mona65 I agree it isn't very well known in the US. I grew up with all of them, I too love Asterix and Tintin, and Chick Bill and Olivier Rameau (etc.!) - so wonderful to have that connection Mona! :)
Beautifully composed and taken! I am struggling to keep up with posting and commenting lately, and keep almost giving up 365, but people like you keep me coming back with your wonderful creativity! Fantastic work Mona :)
