TODAY, is kind of a special day. I sold now and then a picture (seldom) to print on canvas or for concert posters or so. But today I just did my first real photography job, having a session with the cutest 5 days old baby girl and her parents. For a client not beeing a relative or friend, and I did get real money. (Not a bottle of wine or a box of chocolate, for doing a favour.)
Ok, photography will most probably not be a real future job opportunity for me, as I would like to keep this joy of photography as a hobby. But today I’m quite happy with it.
Now, I will have to process the pictures. Let’s hope that the client is happy with them.
Once you are good at something, you are good at something! This is awesome - I think there is a very fine line in newborn photography between sweet and cheesy. This is tender, sweet, yet masculine, intimate, dramatic and serious at the same time. Like a promise. And not cheesy at all - applaud!
This is beautifully shot and processed, Mona. I think you have it, that special something that great photographers have. I think this should be your career and you can take the world with it...
If this was my man and my baby - I'd pay far more for this photo than your Plan B photograph. But it depends on what your client is looking for. Good luck with it all :)
Superb in capturing the strong daddy hands ---- what a treasure and keeper for life. Well done ---- don't lose your passion for $ but it's nice to be treated once in a while. Best of luck FAV
