The zwetschge (Prunus domestica subsp. domestica) is a subspecies of the plum Prunus domestica. More than a hundred varieties of zwetschge are grown in Central Europe.
They are good for baking, desserts, icecream and jam. But sweet and juicy as they are, they are even better eating them just like that. And they make for an easy photo opportunity.
