after a tunnel ride, on the car-shuttle-train. A shuttle train is used to transport accomanied cars for a relativeely short distance. Here in Switzerland they operate on lines passing through a rail tunnel, and connect two place not accessible to each other by road. Especially in winter when the pass roads are covered with a couple of meters of snow. We went through the Furka Tunnel (15 minutes shuttle, but on Saturday a waiting time of +1h is normal), to reach the Valais, heading to Zermatt for ski holliday. After this difficult week, I'm deffinitely ready for some time in the snow. For what more can you ask than cold temperatures, snow, snow, snow, some skies on your feet, the Matterhorn as backdrop and hopefully some sunshine in the next days. All good again with my mood. Thanks for your emotional support.
This is technically not a very good shot. But it is always special to ride with your car on the train and I saw some leading lines. For flashofred February.
Very interesting about the car-shuttle-train. I do love the leading lines and especially that star burst of light! I hope you have a terrific holiday in the snow and that your spirit will be refreshed.
My heart is aching with envy... the Matterhorn as a backdrop to a skiing experience. Can't imagine a more perfect setting. (Been on the Matterhorn once in my life, a sliver of time I'll never forget.)
