2017-02-28 storm chasing

We had a weather alert today. February storm Volkmar approached fast and wind gust of up to 100 kilometers per hour have been expected as well as snow, sleet and heavy rain. So,… I mounted the oldest lens (an old Minolta lens I bought at the flea market for 5.00 CHF (about the same in US$)) and chased the storm. The forecast was totally right. This is the huge storm front just before it hit me and I had to look for shelter.

The last day of the flashofred February project. I really do like black & white photography, but I'm glad this limitation is over now. At the end I struggled quite a bit.
Wow! Incredible shot of the storm coming in.

That was one huge storm heading your way. Hope it didn't do much damage with those winds. You do some incredible b&w shots.
