Dear Mona, I once lost a friend to cancer, and posted a photo of hydrangeas in sepia tines as a way of saying goodbye. I found the image to be somber, yet filled with feelings in a respectful way. When I saw your image, I was filled once again with emotions.
@jyokota Dear Junko. Your lines touched me deeply,...
I have this quote from Peter Adams as reminder on my desk: "photography is about depth of feeling, not depth of field".
On one hand I'm really, really sorry that this picture did touch you and brought you back to a time with sad emotions. On the other side, if once in a while, a picture evokes feelings, even sad ones, we have to accept it. Still I'm sorry. Lets send out good thoughts to all those people we lost, and we miss desperately. Hugs. Mona
@mona65 -- The memories evoked by your beautiful image were good memories -- a friendship lost too early, but one of a life well-lived, and with a legacy that lives on. Thank you for your words and thoughts. Here's my image I just revisited: http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2014-04-21
