Our friend Josef gave us about 15kg golden apples from his orchard (and lots of veggies). Now back home, I could not resist, to bake a tarte and those tiny apple cakes with apple-walnut topping, served with a dollop of freshly made, hot caramel, that crystallizes on the "cakelings".
It was harder than I tought to shoot and pour scalding hot caramel over the cakes, at the same time. But I managed, without burning myself. But you should see the kitchen,... omg what a mess. ;-)
