Skiing in the Dolomites. For those not familiar with alpine snow dangers, these are avalanche protection fences. They are built on steep slopes to prevent the snow from sliding downwards,and causing catastrophes. I was attracted by their elegant patterns, and the long shadows they casted.
Taken from a moving chair lift, with ice cold fingers...
For the flash of red month. Compositional elements: patterns, shadows, repetition, space and balance (more or less). Emotions? I could form a story around „protection“ etc. but I am outdoors and skiing and just happpy and enjoy this time.
