It's that time of the year (despite the snow) it's rhubarb season. I'm quite attracted to rhubarb "peel", or in other words, I'm distracted from cooking/baking, when I see rhubarb peel and have to pull out for an intermediate photo session. Of course it is an "eye of the beholder"-picture.
Better on black, if you care and have the time.
Do you peel rhubarb? We grow this in our backyard and I have never peeled it. Amazing reflection - these, I find, are always harder than you would think. I always get dust on the mirror - perhaps I am just always in a rush. Of course, I assume you used a mirror and not Photoshop. Very interesting image. Fav.
@webfeet Hi Chris, yes I do peel most rhubarb stalks. But it really depends what sort it is, and what I do with them. If I just cut them for a crumble, compote or so, I mostly do not peel them. If I make something like this cake http://365project.org/mona65/2015-plan-b-alb/2016-05-13 orthis http://365project.org/mona65/365/2018-05-15 , I have to, because the long fibres from the peel, would not be nice in the mouth. And yes of course, this is a natural reflection, not photoshoped. I use a microfibre towel, to get rid of the dust (and photoshop too :-)).
