Sunday hike in Switzerlands Wasserschloss (i.e. "water castle"). Here in the canton of Aargau the rivers Aare, Reuss and Limmat meet and the three rivers form an ecological and dynamic artery for the entire landscape. Some alluvial sites have been preserved in the Wasserschloss as a huge Alluvial Site Protection Parc.
This rather big puddle (one of many) is the result of last nights thunderstorm. The real flooding will occur, when last winters snow melts in the mountains and this landscape will change in a good, but dramatic way as soon as the temperature rise.
For me this pictures show my normal hiking point of view. Hubby M. always well ahead of me. So between taking pictures, there are brisk walks to catch up. ;-)
I love the depth of this shot. A straight scenery pic would also have been lovely, but putting the blurred leaves anad figure in it makes it something special.

We are getting a lot of rain today so I think I will look for some puddle photos!
