It works well I think. It's a sort of atmospheric shot rather than a subject oriented one. If you don't mind my asking, did you use a scratched metal or scratch film texture on it?
@gardencat Hi Joanne, thanks for your comment. There is postprocessing involved in this picture, but no filter for the texture. This is a long exposure and what you can see is the aerosol from a water spray. Tried to add "rain", and failed miserable.
@mona65 Thanks for the explanation. I have a few textures that are scratched surfaces, scratched metal, or scratched photography plates. They create a similar effect but are hard ( for me at least) to use in a way that is not too aggressive and obvious, so I was interested to know how you got this. Interesting to see that you incorporated the look in the original photo while I am trying to add mine post.
@gardencat Hi Joanna, yes here I have some structure, directly on the photo. I use now and then a texture filter. I think the trick is, to choose the right amount of opacity and probably remove it from certain parts of the image to avoid a dominance of the filter.
