2020-06-18 catching the drift

If you look closely you can see two paragliders way up in the clouds, using a thermal drift to climb very high and prolong air time. You need to be experienced and skilled, to find the drifts and climb that high. As the clouds building up really heavy black cumulonimbus clouds, I do hope those two are savely back, when the thunderstorms break loose. It's now more than 3 hours since I took this pic and the weather is still save,... so I asume they are fine.
I can thnk of a few who would have cloned them out!!

I thought it was some kind of error and then realized what they were. It gives me chills.

I can just imagine how free they feel. Nice capture against the white clouds. I have never done this, but I did take a glider soar once and the pilot did loops. When you don’t hear anything but the wind and you are just floating on the wind currents it is surprisingly calming.
