The colourful Cosmos bipinnatus are in full bloom now. These live in my neighbourhood, overlook the lake and wait for another great sunset. In my language they are called Cosmea or Schmuckkörbchen. Schmuckkörbchen literally translated would be "little jewelry basket". Isn't that a wonderful name, for such a happy flower?
Very pretty with the two buds and the full bloom and I love the “backwards” point of view. I may have to try to trace that word because schmuck is a derogatory term in English...so schmuckkörbchen does not sound like anything beautiful.
