This bridge over the Bregenzer Ach (Bregenzer Creek) is only in use for the hikers nowadays. Interesting for me: Totally overgrown now, it was ones the new bridge, as the even older one in 1860 was swept away by a flood and took 8 cows and a farmer with it. The farmer survived this incident, but died in young years from pulmonary tuberculosis. He was/is rather famous in this region, because he was the first one standing up against the high class of noble men and the church. We made yesterday a huge detour after the mountain hike to this place, because I „saw“ a picture, when passing by by car earlier this week. As this detour was a never ending, not very interesting hajj, and my hubby raised his eyebrows more than ones, this pic has to be included in the project. ;-) Some of you will understand.
