An alley crossing in the town of Monemvasia. Founded in the sixth century, and thus one of the oldest continually-inhabited fortified towns in Europe, despite raids, plague and earthquakes. The town is the site of a once-powerful medieval fortress and inside the fortifying walls, there are only tiny alleys and thousands of steps. So except wheel barrows, no other vehicle can enter.
