Unfortunately, the male lion at the zoo had to be put down a few months ago. Another male is going to be transferred here (the aim is that they will breed), but in the meanwhile the lionesses don't seem to feel the need of any male company.
@ninaganci Thanks a lot! Unfortunately, the male developed a very aggressive cancer, there was no cure and he was suffering so the vets decided the kindest thing was to put him to sleep.
