The saddest project

Today is International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. At school, we have been working on different projects to raise awareness among pupils. This one is probably the hardest, saddest one. It's been made by first year students (11-12 year olds). Each butterfly represents a woman murdered by her partner this year in Spain; the woman's name is written in the back of the butterfly, and they kids have read every name aloud before sticking it to the background paper. There are 38 butterflies 😢.
How sad but definitely a lovely memorial collage

Very sad indeed, but a beautiful work of art and it must have an impact on the student-artists too.
