Why the canon?

I was inspired by Diana's post yesterday. I have no idea why the canon.
The mirroring arrangement with pots and benches led to the creepy window two days ago.
Had the flowers been roses, i could have named the photo 'Guns 'n Roses'

It looks like the cannon is well cared for. It does seem a bit out of place though.
