This is the first blossom of my peanut butter tree. It is so tiny and fragrant!!!
I first saw it here on 365 last autumn, and in spring I ordered and planted it.
Well I never, is it really called that? Do those lovely little blossoms turn into some kind of fruit, or is it just a decorative tree? Wonderful focus on the stamens.

The official name of the plant is Clerodendrum trichotomum var fargesii
I was impressed that after the flower is gone, there's a sort of fruit shaped as a pink star with a bluish blob in the center. I am eager to see that.
The flower smells of peanuts, and the leaves, if you rub them lightly between the fingers, they also have the same fragrance. The flowers are a pleasant surprise for me, as well.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Definitely: the branches facing south grow the smooth variant. The branches facing north, grow the crunchy. The branches facing east and west don't. :D :D :D
This is different to the peanut butter tree I have read about, the one that has fruit that taste like peanut butter is officially called Bunchosia Argentea
Love the focus on the petals . Great shot ( Never heard of a peanut butter tree, Just peanut plants I know.)
(Just for a visit. It`s alway`s a pleasure to see art .)
