A friend of mine worked this from a design of her sons,after he died,aged 21years.One cannot even begin to imagine what emotion is weaved in these threads.

Ooooh, so sad. what a lovely thing to do. Funnily enough I did a cushion cover when dad died. I'll probably never do anything like it again but it was terribly soothing during tough times. Those symbols are very like those found on stone entrances here. One theory is they are done masons compasses, another is that they are to ward off evil spirits. Whatever, this is very colourful.
@miranda How interesting,Miranda. The family is Jewish, and highly creative. David was also particularly psychic, so I am not surprised he used such symbols,consciously or otherwise. @jonna Thank you Jonna,its something I look at often.
