Winter Warmth

This Peiris is called 'Forest Flame' and lives up to its name this time of the year!
I've never had any success with pieris - is this flowering outside. A lovely sunny shot.

@busylady I live in an area of acid soil,Judith, that azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias,magnolias...and pieris all love. This one is a replacement for a thirteen year old specimen that blew over in last years gales, then was finally polished off by the Spring drought. It was a beautiful shrub, about eight feet tall and five feet across. I went into mourning...! This is not as attractive but fills the gap a little.Have you fed the ones you've tried? Vital if your soil is not of sufficient acidity.
