Baddesley Clinton

Baddesley Clinton is a National Trust property in Warwickshire. There has been a home on this site since before the Magna Carta,more or less in the same family,the Ferrers,who were constant in the Catholic faith inspite of frequent persecution.Baddesley became a 'safe' house in the 1590's, for Jesuit priests from Europe,hiding from the priest hunters and there are several priest holes in the house.Remakably,despite many raids,none were ever found.
