This is a landmark of a mountain. I remember seeing it each time we came up to the Sunshine Coast and when we didn't see it this time; I felt as thought we had left something off the map.
So, on the way home yesterday, Mum and I drove around the scenic route (that was around the back of it) and then found the road to this view - which is the front of it. Mt. Tibrogargan is an extinct volcanic mountain which looks like a crouching gorilla - or man depending on how you look at him/it.
To me, he looks like a gorilla... always has.
(NB: The lines in front of it are from a train line. I couldn't do anything about them as I took this through a fence)
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
When I was a child, when we used to drive past this mountain, I knew we were getting close to Cotton Tree where we used to holiday for many years - great shot.
