Yesterday afternoon, Mum, Dad and I went to Gabe, Kat and Riley's house for a Mother's Day dinner. We spent some time hanging out, reading, sewing, patting Jay and cooking a delicious Tea Cake (which we devoured 3/4 of while it was hot!) and then Gabe came home with Riley and began making Tortillas by hand.
He had built a Tortilla Machine which flattened them out to the perfect flattened state so we could cook them! And were they delicious! Gabe hadn't cooked them before; and seeing it was a first, it was an absolute success!
After dinner, we had fresh baked custard with stewed apples with cinnamon and Gabe brewed up some of his famous coffee (I had one cup too many - two that is) and by the time we got back home, it was 1am!
