Yesterday morning, on my way to the post office, I was walking past a large patch of clover and spotted a bee busily buzzing from one clover flower to the next collecting pollen from them. I stopped long enough to quickly take a few shots of it before it spotted me.
Hating bees, I'm really proud of myself for getting this close.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
I tried photographing a bee the other day without a great deal of success, so these are terrific! I actually like the one on the right showing the motion but still, a good image of the bee!
@Weezilou I actually had to photograph it from a distance and make sure I didn't get too close; as they don't like being disturbed when they're working. And besides, they don't really know what a flower is...
I remember one day, I was going through a drive-thru (yes, this was a long time ago when I could drive a car) and I spotted a bee trying to pollinate the letter 'T' on the sign at McDonald's 'Drive Thru' sign... it was hilarious! Thus proving that a bee truly doesn't know the different between a flower or an object. :)
@loey5150@Weezilou@digitalrn thank you all for your lovely comments about the bee. She was really hard to photograph without ticking her off. But I'm so happy I got her nice glossy wings in the first photo... such a little cute thing! :D
