Last night, I went out to my 20 year high school reunion. Even though I didn't graduate from Rochedale State High, I was still invited to come along to the party.
However, there were so many people I didn't remember fully and so I spent most of the night looking around at almost complete strangers who I didn't know. This was until a few people from my Care Group (aka: form/home group) and they were the only people I recognised as they hadn't changed all that much.
Then, Kylie Lovejoy showed up and she played with the band - Theory - and got the place jumping! We've been friends on Facebook for a while now and it's the first time in a long time since we've talked. It was great to catch up in person after so long. And at the end of her set, we got a photo together.
The uniform she's wearing was the first one us girls had to wear at Rochedale State High. It was hideous as we roasted in it in Summer and froze in it in Winter... not the best designed uniform or the best thought out one either. It was soon replaced by the top and skirt design which was much cooler.

You know it's funny, Rick, all the people who hung out in certain groups, went back into the those groups and chatted. The snobs were still snobs. The popular people hung out with popular people.. the quiet ones hung out with the other quiet ones... it was really strange.
I went to my 10 year and 20 year reunions. For the first half an hour I was struggling to recognise anyone. Three hours later we were all telling each other no-one had changed at all since high school!
@cmt2812 Funnily enough, Kylie (the one in the photo with me here) and myself were the only people who had not gotten married or had children; and yet, we both still look exactly like we did in high school and are virtually the same dress size too! The school uniform she's wearing is her original one... spooky, eh?
@digitalrn@cmt2812 thank you guys for your lovely comments. It was a lovely reunion; with many people's names that were familiar, but the faces were different. And I wasn't the only one who had memory problems... however, when it came to people knowing me, well, it seems that I haven't changed at all since high school... yep, us redheads don't change at all. :D
