No Ordinary Teenager by mozette

No Ordinary Teenager

I wasn't your ordinary teenaged girl growing up - even though Mum tried to get me to be. When I was young, I was the first skateboarding girl in Logan City - and kept up with the sport for a decade (before a melanoma forced me to stop; only for me to take up inline blading).

Deep down, I was a Goth. I loved the colour black, and it reflected in all you can see in the photos of my teenaged/Young Adult bedroom growing up. I listened to 'Rat Cat', 'The Cure', 'The Pixies', 'Zodiac Mind Warp' and 'The Dead Kennedies' as well... all bands that Gabe listened to during high school as well.
Even now, I look good in my Goth outfits when I feel the need to dress up; especially on Halloween.
I think it's pretty fascinating to watch young people find their indentity. Some find it hard to accpet, and I must admit, it was a challenge at times watching our two kids go through their stages wondering where it was going to go, but yet I think I admired it to some degree. I admired their idividuality. It's just disappointing when sometimes it goes too far. But usually things calm down.

@loey5150 Ooooooh, I have my sources.... ;) I have a lot of my photos from my old pink photo album in an envelope when the album fell apart. Then, I bought a new one and put them in there; well, okay, most of them :P
