Council Craziness

Over the last week, I've noticed that Logan City Council worker have been lopping fully-grown trees along Wembley Road; and leaving the saplings.
Why would they do this in the middle of Summer in one of the hottest states in Australia when we really need the shade? They also did the same thing along Kingston Road too.
