Yesterday, I was off to volunteer work at the Logan Art Gallery. And as usual, I had to catch a bus that was an hour early. So, instead of being there for that extra hour, I thought to take a walk around the back of the art gallery and Logan City Council Chambers to photograph the public artworks around the place.
The main picture is a up-close one of the red, white, blue and yellow ball of old ballet boxes that you see second on the bottom left... pretty cool if you ask me; and well lit at night! :D
The one to its right is the Wall of Fame for Logan City where people who have done great things for our city are found. Not many people know it's there - and I stumbled upon it myself - and so I took a photo of that.
The bottom left is my Geranium - lookin' good'n'healthy in its little cage. A pretty happy little plant now. :D
The one with the massive mug and ball of yarn is what I was doing at the gallery on Saturday... drinking coffee made on milk and knitting a part of a baby's blanket all afternoon. Not many people came in, so I got a lot done.
The other two photos - the bottom right - is showing where Meals on Wheels is found. And the top right is a lovely plant I adore but can't grow in my garden called 'Bird of Paradise' one of my favourite plants of all time.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@loey5150@digitalrn@wilbo43 Thank you all for your lovely comments. I do love working in this part of Logan City. And yes, art and culture is a big part of this place... anyone who says it's not, isn't looking hard enough, eh? :)
