We have an escape artist on our hands here at Brighton. I woke up this morning and heard the sounds of a chicken nearby; and was certain they had been all locked up last night. So, I opened the door to the guest house and found this here chicken walking along the deck. When I called out, she came running up to me, all innocent as though she was looking for me!
I put her back into the enclosure with a kind warning to stay with the other girls.
However, that didn't seem to stick. I went out to take a photo about 15 minutes ago, and who should be out on the path to the chicken coup? This escape artist! So, I'm putting out a notice to let everyone know, this is the professional escape artist in her natural habitat... she's well worth the money as she's a good layer too and cheeky as she lets anyone pat her.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
What's funnier still is that whenever I'm in the yard now, this chicken follows me around like a lost little pet... lets me pat her as much as I like and enjoys being around me. So cute!
Still a Houdini whenever she wants to be... but a very cute thing for her to do. :)
