Yesterday, I drove a car for the first time in over 10 years! It's amazing how fast everything comes back to you after a long time off the road.
I drove Mum's Pajero to their place to stay the night and attend my craft group. I ended up at the chiropractor and doing a few more things this morning too.
On the way home from their house, I found I had to put petrol in 4X4... not much has changed at service stations, just that everything is digital! I didn't know you could put in how much you want to spend! Very cool!
But, last night, I found the tv stopped working at their place - and not matter what I did to fix it (turning it off and on, reprogramming it, working through the dvd recorder) it just didn't want to work... but 3 hours later, after 2 reprogrammings, I found stations on the recorder and so I could watch it to a point... not all stations were on there, only some. I can say that this was not my fault! :)
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@tesssa@digitalrn@bkbinthecity aahh, neither could I - I mean not driving guys - but I had to hang up my keys for that long so the doctors could fix my brain. I have Epilepsy and with this condition, I became a danger on the roads; so I could either hand in my hard-earned license or just hold on to it and wait... I chose the latter and - boy! Was I patient! I went through Hell and came back in one piece, but it was well worth it... being able to get behind that wheel and have all the rules come back in a few minutes. :D
@bkbinthecity Oh... oops.. :P yeah, it is wonderful I'm back on the roads.
I have so much I want to do around the place now... I want to do up my backyard, clean out the house and be able to drive to volunteer work... and I can with Mum's car. :D
