Yesterday was a stinker! I put the tree up, decorated the trees out the front of my place (check out the previous pic!) and then I stored away my knitting in two boxes in my wardrobe.
Then! My neighbours had a party from 4pm until 3:30am! Yesh! I asked them to be quiet twice before making that dreaded call to the boys in blue... and I wasn't sure if they actually showed, just that the party went quiet suddenly at around 3:30am; so don't quote me on it. :)
But it began to rain at around 9pm and hasn't stopped. :D The day is very much cooler, the plants are loving it and so I took some photos under an umbrella! :D
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
Well everything is really nice and green, the rain is doing its thing. the party people, they never seem to understand that others do not appreciate such things at that ungodly hour.
@digitalrn Yeah true... and you know, it was a hot'n'sticky night of rain, but there was a lovely breeze with it; but they didn't seem to realise I wanted ot enjoy that breeze and the rain on my roof to help me sleep.... oh, no... never ever entered their minds... just the booze going into their mouths.
When I did talk to the police, the lady on the other end of the line asked if there were drugs or alcohol being used, and I said I'm not sure about drugs, but booze, yes... and they weren't nice people (now here we have a big influx of Zulu African people and they hate use white people - jeez that sounds racist now I write it down - but they do... and so I told her that they've only been next door for 6 months and I've been here 11 years; so having a history here means something, but not to them. She understood immediately and said that she'd get a cruiser out there as soon as possible and asked for the gate code from me... the problem was that once the party was finished, I nearly slept through my alarm. :/
