Sandy the Hearing Care Dog by mozette

Sandy the Hearing Care Dog

I was at the doctors the other day to get a sore throat checked on, when this lovely little dog walked in with her owner. Sandy is a care dog who helps her owner out because he's hearing impaired. She's such a sweetheart; and has a wonderful memory of people.

Sandy hasn't seen me in almost a year, and when I called her name, she knew who I was and sat on my feet for a well-learned pat... and her coat is just so soft and gorgeous!
Then, this little girl watched from the other side of the waiting room curiously watching on and Sandy's owner invited her to come and pat the dog... and eagerly raced up and patted Sandy until my name was called. Sandy's owner loves her dearly; but knows she's getting on a little - as she's 12 now - but he loves her so much, he doesn't know if he could let her go back to the Deaf Society of Queensland and she'll probably be kept as a pet. :)
There's just something about a dog :-)

@annie97 @digitalrn @alia_801 Thank you all for your lovely comments! I do love little Sandy... she's such a lovely dog. And the service dogs do a great job looking after their masters; and appreciate the affection of others around them when they've been working so hard. :)
