Over the last day or so, we've had so much rain, Jay and I have hibernated indoors the whole time.
She's been sleeping a lot and I've been painting pegs and sewing while watching movies... yeah, nothing too exciting.
When I looked outside today, I saw it was nice and sunny and getting warmer... so, after cleaning up, packing up my stuff and putting most of it in the car, I took Jay for a walk out in the back field.
While there, she spotted a Bearded Dragon - a native reptile of Australia - who didn't appreciate her sniffing her (as you can see in the first photo). But once she went away, he thinned out for me to take a nice photo of him... very cool reptiles these. My brother, Gabe, used to own one of these guy in primary school called Spike; they make great pets but you need a permit
On the way home, we spotted a few Magpies who didn't like us hanging around, but I made eye contact and they kept their distance (yeah, they're like that). Then, we got in and now Jay's happily snoozing by the front door in wait for her owners to return from their few days away.
It's been a few cold, wet, awful days... but we've made the most of it with some great music, good food, cuddles and enjoyed hanging out with each other.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
