Back Into It Again! by mozette

Back Into It Again!

Today was a very busy one! I was out the door by 9:30am and home by around 2pm... woah! What a day!

First off, I took off to the Logan Community Centre as they were having a t-shirt and plant sale... now I was there only for the plants, and spent only $13.00 on 4 plants... very cool! Then, I spotted a bottle of Mango Chutney (home made goodies) with saltanas through it... well, Dad adores the stuff, so I scored a bottle of it for him!

I arrived at their place and we chatted about the Great-Grandma's sewing machine... well, I'd been thinking about it over the last few weeks (while I was attending markets and here at home working) and I don't think it'd be a good idea to do it up... we've offered it to Glengallan Homestead on the Darling Downs for the house up there. We are related to the place and have donated items to it already; they said they'd get back to us about it. I hope they take it.

The bath table is staying with me... I'm doing it up for my bedroom so it completes the 1930's look to my bedroom... and so far, I've taken it apart and given it a light sand after scraping off all those decades of old soap and gundge... eeewww!

After lunch, I almost caught a nannie-nap... but nope! I was off home to do the gardening - but not before I headed to Bunnings for some potting mix. I reused the silver stones I removed from the pots out the front of my house and potted up the plants I bought at the community centre... don't they look great? Two of them are from my garden, though... and pipes are from Mum and Dad's place and I thought to make it look like a centre piece for the yard as well as a piece of art.

The netting over the half pot? Well, the possums have been eating the new plant. I hope this keeps the little critters off it... and I have a feeling they ate the last plant I put there. :(
a nice collage of your busy day

If they like the plant I fear they will find a way to get to it in spite of the netting, but hopefully it works.

@digitalrn I went out there this morning and found they hadn't touched it... it looks like they were put off by it.
