Earth Hour

Last Saturday was Earth Hour... I sat in the dark for an hour with the candles burning and a headlamp on knitting.

At first, it was really noisy around the unit complex, then it went very quiet within around 20 minutes. It was really strange.

When the hour was up, life went on as though nothing happened.

@wendyfrost Oh! I didin't know that.... it's a world-wide thing now. 165+ cities and over 50 countries take part in it now; and it's been going since 2007... pretty cool. Also, it's an Australia-started thing too... how fun is that?
