My Weird Weekend

I had a strange weekend... on Friday night, Mum called me up and asked if I could come to the coast with them.

I hesitated until she told me that when she went to the doctor, and he took a sun cancer out of her chest, she was told not to raise her arms above her head or put them out to the sides... so there went her plans of setting up the van and annex with Dad.

I packed up my overnight bag the next day and was off to the coast with them by lunch time... Well... the fun started later that day.

I was bitten 3 times by one Green Ant (which had gotten trapped under my arm on my t-shirt) poor little guy... but it hurt like hell!

Then, the van park changed the code to the toilets and I kept forgetting it... damn!

Then, the pump for the air mattress shorted out the caravan 3 times! So, Dad and I walked up to the service station and pumped it up there and walked it back (thank goodness we did this at night, it would have been unbearable during the day).
We all headed off to bed and then and zonked out... at 3am, I woke to find the air mattress had gone flat!

Waking my folks was difficult to do, but had to be done! I ended up sleeping in the van on oversized cushions and found I woke up with my hip in the crease between the cushions and right on the table! Yep, very uncomfy...

A very weird weekend indeed.

Man... was I happy to get back to my own bed yesterday or what!
