Valet Chair, but...

... last night I broke out in hives from it.

So, what I thought was cheap pine was actually bamboo - which I'm allergic to. I'm back at square one again.

Instead of looking for another one, I'll find a tall, old-fashioned dining room chair, get a piece of board and put it in the bottom, get some dowel and add more rungs and make the seat into a lid for my socks. Easily done, and cheaper. I'll get Dad to help me redesign it once I find the chair I'm looking for.

In the meantime I'll donate this one.
