I never thought a bat house would be this narrow! I was shocked when I saw it. The sign posted below read: "This bat house was installed to provide shelter for bats. Bats are highly beneficial and vital to the Earth’s environmental health. They are primary predators of numerous insect pests, including many that attack farm crops or carry disease. Countless bats have lost their natural roosts, and bat houses like this one provide essential alternative homes."
